Someone sold 3 of my artworks on an NFT website without my authorization, so I'm setting rules about my art.

Copyright Notice:

I do not allow my artwork to be used for commercial purposes. If you want to partner with me to sell t-shirts, mugs, or any other products, please contact me so we can make an agreement.

Regarding NFTs: I do not use any of these platforms. If you find my artwork there, know that I did not upload it and did not authorize its use. Even if you purchase the artwork "legally," it does not belong to you, and I can prove it in court. If you want one of my artworks to post as an NFT, this can only be done through commissions. If you buy an artwork from me, you can use it however you like, but at the moment, I am not accepting commissions. I am currently focusing on moving houses first, and only afterward will I reopen commissions.

Additionally, I do not sell artworks that I created from my own ideas, as they have emotional value to me. To be clear: I do not sell artworks that I made for my personal enjoyment.

On the other hand, I do allow my artworks to be used for personal purposes, as long as there is no profit involved. If you want to use them for a tattoo, print them on a t-shirt, frame them, or use them for something exclusively for yourself, that is perfectly ok.

What happened to you is beyond horrible and I felt physically sick reading how this "person" kept replying to in such manner that in a way remined me of more an AI-written text rather than a real human being. I don't know why but the way this "Individual" talks is very off to me. It sounded more like an AI/bot than a real person and considering NFTs are linked to this hypertechnological world that touches the AI sphere I wouldn't rule out.

I'm deeply sorry, really.

I didn't put it there, but he showed me the print of the images on the nft website, It looks very real, I don't think it's AI

@ShangXian
Oh no! I feared this day would come, that’s obviously an AI agent, a chat program that can autonomously make its own account and even go to multiple sites on internet to complete a tasks for some lazy user.

They don’t understand ethics and will do anything they can to complete a task.

Welcome to the next era of the internet.):

@thepixelizer Considering the chat is the one of Instagram from what I can see, but I might be wrong, it's not that strange that bots annoy the fuck out of users. When I used IG I got added to many stupid IG porn groups by these annoying bots, I reported them, deleted the chat, left them and blocked the accounts. Then I got fed up after being shadowbanned just because I post every pope election and I deleted the account. Fuck IG.

It's not Instagram, it was on Tumblr

@ShangXian
Ai agents are the next evolution of those wretched things.

They're not only just locked to one site or account anymore. They can make multiple accounts on many sites and even surf the internet. Some of them can get past capchas, and even phone call you and use an ai voice, call a business and order a pizza, they can even call you an Uber etc.
The whole goal of them is to make your device literally operate itself with little input from the user.

And since they have Chat GPT they can sound really convincing and reply like a regular user.

I heard this one story of an agent that couldn't past a capcha, so they pretended they were a real person and emailed someone asking if they can help them get around it, and it worked.

The worst part is they're not mindless anymore, now they can actually strategize and come up with a plan.

@Gotrainerx I know you didn't put them there, from the messages it's clear you never consented and the site is real but what puts me off is the way the account talks to you. It feels too automated and not human-like. Their replies seem not to understand the pragmatic of the entire conversation, pragmatic is the context in which an utterance or sentence occur. Even the way it tried to compliment you labeling you as "the new Picasso" and offering an unreasonable amount of price feels so insincere and a pathetic attempt at social engineering you by making you sell your works. Ofc it didn't work at convincing you, but still the account did it nonetheless.

And after you rightly protested, the account kept doing what it was meant to do it, without even acknowledging your distress as it truly lacked the linguistic awareness to connect what happened next (the happy emojis after it sold your works) with what happened before (when you said you didn't were interested). As someone who studied Linguistics and how language works all of this conversation is extremely off, no real linguistic skill from the account in question. The account seems out of touch with reality. It just does what it's programmed to do.

And I find funny how connectors such as "and" and second singular personal pronoun "you" are written as "And" and "You".

WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK?!

???

@Gotrainerx like, this is messed up what they did dude, how heartless can this guy be

Yes, bro, and very discouraging

@Gotrainerx Ahhh ok, still the way the account acted is too weird to me.

@Gotrainerx sorry to hear this happened to you dude *hug*
